Crossed the Pennines and arrived at Scotch Corner to see Chris (our son) Pass Off from his bugle course. Visited Darlington and found some quaint little shops selling cheese, wine and many things made in Yorkshire. Met Rob (nephew) from the trainstation and stocked up with steak for a BBQ. Arranged to meet Chris and watch the Champions League Final whilst eating steak. Mmmmmm STEAK!
Suited and Booted we sat and watched the parade. Impressive.
With all four of us on board we trundled our way (the wrong way) back to Bristol and missed all the traffic on the M5 (we were on the A1) well it said South on the sign!
Time to fork out for a SatNav we think.

Great blog. This post made me chuckle .... sounds like my other half was driving. Put him on a straight road he will drive till the road runs out and signs be-damned!
