The Lake District

19th may 2008

Set off early to visit the Lake District and sample some Northern fare. `Elvis` runs like a dream and handles the steep hills with ease. What a diamond we have found! Keswick was a bit too commercialised so we headed for Winlatter Pass and over to Crummock Water. The campsite is perfect, quiet and remote,(one shop sells all! if its open!) Still worth the walk. Visited Buttermere and found it a bit tricky with too many cars and coaches to pass on single track roads. Next time we will park up and use bikes.
